iFluor™ Kits

AAT Bioquest’s iFluor™ dyes are Optimised for labelling proteins, in particular, antibodies.   These dyes are bright, photostable and have minimal quenching on proteins. They can be well excited by the major laser lines of fluorescence instruments (e.g., 350, 405, 488, 555 and 633 nm).

ReadiLink™ iFluor™ 350 Antibody Labelling Kit *Microscale Optimised for Labelling 50 µg Antibody Per Reaction*

iFluor™ 350 dyes have fluorescence excitation and emission maxima of ~350 nm and ~440 nm respectively. These spectral characteristics make them an excellent replacement for AMCA and Alexa Fluor® 350 labelling dye (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of Invitrogen). ReadiLink™ labelling kits essentially only require 2 simple mixing steps without a column purification needed. iFluor™ 350 SE used in this ReadiLink™ kit is reasonably stable and shows good reactivity and selectivity with protein amino groups. The kit has all the essential components for labelling ~2×50 ug antibody. Each of the two vials of iFluor™ 350 dye provided in the kit is Optimised for labelling ~50 µg antibody. iFluor™ 350 SE protein labelling kit provides a convenient method to label monoclonal, polyclonal antibodies or other proteins (>10 kDa) with the iFluor™ 350 SE.

ReadiLink™ iFluor™ 488 Antibody Labelling Kit *Microscale Optimised for Labelling 50 µg Antibody Per Reaction*

Although FITC is still the most popular fluorescent labelling dye for preparing green fluorescent bioconjugates, there are certain limitations with FITC, such as severe photobleaching for microscope imaging and pH-sensitive fluorescence. Protein conjugates prepared with iFluor™ 488 dyes (Ex/Em=497 nm/525 nm) are far superior compared to conjugates of fluorescein derivatives such as FITC. iFluor™ 488 conjugates are significantly brighter than fluorescein conjugates and are much more photostable. Additionally, the fluorescence of iFluor™ 488 is not affected by pH (4-10). This pH insensitivity is a major improvement over fluorescein, which emits its maximum fluorescence only at pH above 9. ReadiLink™ labelling kits essentially only require 2 simple mixing steps without a column purification needed. iFluor™ 488 SE used in this ReadiLink™ kit is reasonably stable and shows good reactivity and selectivity with protein amino groups. The kit has all the essential components for labelling ~2×50 ug antibody. Each of the two vials of iFluor™ 488 dye provided in the kit is Optimised for labelling ~50 µg antibody. iFluor™ 488 SE protein labelling kit provides a convenient method to label monoclonal, polyclonal antibodies or other proteins (>10 kDa) with the iFluor™ 488 SE.

ReadiLink™ iFluor™ 555 Antibody Labelling Kit *Microscale Optimised for Labelling 50 µg Antibody Per Reaction*

iFluor™ 555 dyes have fluorescence excitation and emission maxima of ~550 nm and ~570 nm respectively. iFluor™ 555 family has the spectral properties essentially identical to those of Cy3® (Cy3® is the trademark of GE Healthcare). Compared to Cy3 probes iFluor™ 555 family has much stronger fluorescence and higher photostability. Their fluorescence is pH-independent from pH 3 to 11. These spectral characteristics make this new dye family a superior alternative to Cy3®. iFluor™ 555 family has become an excellent replacement for Cy3 and Alexa Fluor® 555 labelling dye (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of Invitrogen). ReadiLink™ labelling kits essentially only require 2 simple mixing steps without a column purification needed. iFluor™ 555 SE used in this ReadiLink™ kit is reasonably stable and shows good reactivity and selectivity with protein amino groups. The kit has all the essential components for labelling ~2×50 ug antibody. Each of the two vials of iFluor™ 555 dye provided in the kit is Optimised for labelling ~50 µg antibody. iFluor™ 555 SE protein labelling kit provides a convenient method to label monoclonal, polyclonal antibodies or other proteins (>10 kDa) with the iFluor™ 555 SE.

The kit has all the essential components for labelling ~2×50 ug antibody. Each of the two vials of iFluor™ 594 dye provided in the kit is Optimised for labelling ~50 µg antibody. iFluor™ 594 SE protein labelling kit provides a convenient method to label monoclonal, polyclonal antibodies or other proteins (>10 kDa) with the iFluor™ 594 SE.
