CoverWell Imaging Chambers (Adhesive)

CoverWell imaging chambers are designed to stabilise and support thick and free-floating specimens for confocal microscopy and imaging applications.  Reusable press-to-seal silicone chambers form removable enclosures for repeat staining or specimen repositioning.  Flexible coverslip material allows these chambers to be removed from the thinnest coverglass witout breaking the glass or damaging the specimen. New adhesive CoverWells are designed to form peel-and-stick leak-proof enclosures for the permanent mounting of thick specimens.

CoverWell Imaging Chambers (No Adhesive)

CoverWell imaging chambers are designed to stabilise and support thick and free-floating specimens for confocal microscopy and imaging applications.  Reusable press-to-seal silicone chambers form removable enclosures for repeat staining or specimen repositioning.  Flexible coverslip material allows these chambers to be removed from the thinnest coverglass witout breaking the glass or damaging the specimen.

CoverWell Incubation Chambers

CoverWell incubation chambers are reusable, easy to apply incubation chambers that attach without the use of adhesive. They are ideal for multi-use steps of immunocytochemistry.  Microwavable for permeabilisation and retrieval steps (J. Histochemistry 18:115-117, 1995).  Preserve kinetic (non-capillary) fluid dynamics for better reagent mixing and lower backgrounds (CellVision 2:165-169, 1995).  Eliminate precipitate deposits on specimens by incubating slides and specimens upside down during enzymatic colour precipitation reactions.  Provide an exceptionally secure seal during submerged water bath and/or high temperature incubations.

CoverWell Perfusion Chambers

Press-to-seal covers form water-tight, multi-well cell incubation or cytochemistry chambers when pressed to coverslips or microscope slides.  Reagents can be quickly added and removed through dual access ports without disturbing or cross-contaminating specimens. Chambers are removable for permanent mounting.  CoverWell chambers are made from medical grade silicone bonded to clear, UV-transparent plastic. They are available in five chamber configurations allowing up to eight different specimens or analytical tests on one coverglass.  This product is ideal for live cell imaging on upright or inverted microscopes at high magnification.

CultureWell Accessories

Reusable CultureWell gaskets from CultureWell Chambered Coverglass and CultureWell Chambered Coverglass Inserts are available in bulk packages.  Gaskets are ideal for forming wells in glass microscope slides or in polystyrene dishes.  Gaskets are non-sterile and may be sterilised by autoclaving, UV or alcohol.

CultureWell Chambered Coverglass

Chambered coverglass products consist of removable / reusable non-cytotoxic silicone gaskets secured to 24 mm x 50 mm, number 1.5 German coverglass. They may be placed in sterile culture plates or 100 mm diameter culture dishes. The thin flat coverglass is the optimal platform for high resolution microscopy and high-sensitivity, quantitative, fluorescent imaging.  Leak-proof design eliminates well-to-well cross contamination. Gaskets stabilise coverglass and provide convenient handling using conventional microscope slide holders and accessories.  Gaskets are removable for high resolution imaging.  Gaskets may be resterilised and reused. Well spacing facilitates liquid handling utilising multichannel pipettes and robotic dispensers.

CultureWell Chambered Coverglass Inserts

Each CultureWell insert is comprised o four chambered coverglasses, assembled in a disposable frame, placed in a standard 86 mm x 128 mm culture plate, sterile and ready to use. The stabilising insert design and accessory hardware allow fragile coverglass to be easily integrated into protocols for high throughput handling of microscope slides and microtitre plates.

CultureWell Removable Chambered Coverglass

16 Well chambered coverglass cell culture vessel has a 2 x 8 format with standard 96 well plate volumes and well spacing.  Non-cytotoxic silicone well gasket forms a leak proof seal between polystyrene upper structure and coverglass; product is sterile and ready to use.  Coverglass removal is facilitated using a very simple, single piece device that reliably separates the parts without the need for excessive force or risk of coverglass breakage. Silicone removal leaves no residue. Components are manufactured and assembled with special orientation features for ease of handling and convenient identification of specimen location after structure removal.

CultureWell Silicone Sheets

CultureWell Silicone sheets allow researchers to isolate specimens using removable hydrophobic barriers. They may be used to isolate cells grown in culture dishes or separate multiple specimens affixed to microscope slides.

ExpressLane Phenotyping Slides

Flow cytometry on a glass slide. Designed for multiplex analysis: multiple assays performed on the same cell.  Binding of virtually all cells.

FastWell

Sticky, flexible silicone gaskets form hydrophobic reagent barriers around specimens without messy adhesives or special slides. FastWells may be stacked to increase depth and volume. They remain sealed during agitated washing steps. FastWells peel off quickly and cleanly, leaving no residue to interfere with specimen coverslip. They can be washed, autoclaved and reused. FastWells can also be sealed to form incubation chambers using flexible HybriSlip covers.

FlexWells

FlexWells silicone gaskets form wells on slides using clean release adhesive to isolate up to 16 specimens per slide. Slides fit into a reusable slide tray, organising wells into the footprint of a microtitre plate. Gaskets may be sealed for mixing and to prevent evaporation.

Fluorescent Friendly Chambers for Sensitive DNA Microarrays

These new microarray chambers are designed specifically for compatibility with Cy5 and AlexaFluor™ 647 direct labelled DNA probes for hybridisation assays. These chambers as well as the original HybriWells can also be used with all other fluorochrome labelled probes.

HybriSlip Hybridisation Covers

HybriSlips are flexible, thin (0.25 mm) covers that minimise fluid friction and facilitate uniform reagent distribution. RNase free, hydrophobic covers will not trap or bind probes to their surfaces like coverglass. Product is ready-to-use without pre-treatment. Working surfaces are protected with clean release liners to prevent RNase contamination. HybriSlips remain flat and will not curl, even at high temperatures. Product is ideally suited for in situ hybrdisation, in situ PCR and hybridisation to genomic arrays on glass slides.

HybriWell Sealing System

HybriWell Sealing System seals securely to a microscope slide surface in seconds to enclose single or multiple specimens in a small reagent volume and eliminate evaporation.  Access ports in the chamber surface allow for the addition or removal of reactants.  Ports are easily sealed using Adhesive Seal Tabs (Port seals), provided with each order.  Sealed chambers are watertight and ideally suited for water bath incubations.  RNase free, hydrophobic surfaces will not trap or bind probes.  Disposable chamber removes cleanly and easily even after heating.

Modular Hybridisation System

An assortment of flexible, press-to-seal gasket and coverglass enclosures can be quickly assembled and disassembled for the specialised challenges of hybridising and imaging thick and free floating specimens.  Multiple chambers can be built on one microscope slide.  This product is ideally suited for overnight hybridisations and agitated washing steps.

MultiSlip Cell Culture Coverglass Inserts

MultiSlip inserts with 8 (18 mm x 18 mm) or 15 (12 mm x 12 mm) No. 1.5 coverglass per insert are sterile and ready to use in conventional 86 mm x 128 mm culture plates. Staining and washing procedures may be performed with MultiSlip inserts in the plate, or silicone backed coverglass may be removed individually and affixed to glass microscope slides.  Alternatively, inserts may be easily removed for batch processing in glass staining dishes.  The product is ideally suited for the culture of cells where pre-treatment of the glass surface with a biological coating is required.  Simply add sterile solution to the plate, incubate and aspirate.  Coating is applied evenly to one side of the glass only, with no overlapping, handling with forceps, or breakage.

SecureSeal Imaging Spacers

SecureSeal imaging spacers are ultra thin adhesive spacers which peel-and-stick to coverglass or microscope slides to confine specimens without compression. Layer multiple spacers to custom build chambers to any depth desired.  For high resolution microscopy, sandwich specimen and spacer between two No. 0 coverglass.

SecureSlip Cell Culture Coverglass

Coverglass is affixed to a thin, microscopically transparent silicone base, which secures it to culture vessels by electrostatic charge (no adhesive), to prevent movement during cultivation, and cells from growing on the back surface. The silicone also acts as a hydrophobic barrier to isolate liquid reagents on glass. Individual coverglass with silicone backing can be adhered to a petri dish or plate. These can be easily removed one at a time from the dish during culture. Once removed, coverglass can be affixed to microscope slides by means of the tacky silicone backing for routine processing, or placed cell side down onto a reagent using the silicone backing as a cover to prevent evaporation. Silicone backing removes easily (by peeling) for conventional mounting on microscope slides. During culture, cells may be imaged without interference from the optical grade silicone.
