Description: PBS (phosphate buffered saline) is an isotonic buffer that closely mimics the human body's pH, osmolarity, and ion concentrations. It is non-toxic to most cells, making it well-suited for many biological applications, including immunoassays, protein purification, sample dilutions, transportation of cells and tissues, reagent preparation, and as a wash buffer. Each PBS tablet prepares 100 mL of a 1X PBS solution containing 137 mM sodium chloride, 10 mM phosphate buffer, and 2.7 mM potassium chloride (pH 7.4).
