Description: ASC-1 is an anti-human monoclonal antibody that targets the CD49c antigen. CD49c (sometimes called ITGA3) is a 150 kD member of the integrin family that is expressed on the surface of cells like B cells, T cells and epithelial cells. CD49 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, for instance, laminin, CD9 and collagen. CD49 is a relatively rare antibody target, with fewer than 600 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD49c has a variety of applications in neuroscience and immunology research, commonly serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to XFD750 (ex/em = 752/776 nm). XFD750 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor® 750 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher).
