Description: The M38 monoclonal antibody binds with rabbit/ cat/ human CD81, a 26 kD member of the TM4SF tetraspanin family commonly found on the surface of nks, epithelial cells, T cells and natural killer cells. CD81 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, for example, CD21, leu-13 and CD19. CD81 is a fairly uncommon antibody target, with a little more than 6200 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD81 is vital to neuroscience and transcription factors research, typically serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to PE/XFD700 (ex/em = 566/721 nm). XFD700 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor® 700 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is compatible with the 561 nm laser and 702/85 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Luminex Amnis ImageStream).
