Description: The 5-369 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD143, a 170 kD transmembrane protein typically expressed on the surface of dendritic cells, epithelial cells, endothelial cells and macrophages. CD143 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, for instance, ANG-1. CD143 is a relatively rare antibody target, with fewer than 200 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD143 is vital to immunology research, commonly serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to iFluor® 430 (ex/em = 433/498 nm). It is compatible with the 445 nm laser and 510/80 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the BD FACSAria™ Fusion).
