Description: MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Recognizes a protein of 27kD, identified as the Bcl-X protein. This monoclonal antibody shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-2a or Bax protein. Bcl-X has two isoforms, Bcl-XL (long), a 241aa protein which suppresses cell death. And Bcl-XS (short), a 178aa protein lacking a 63aa domain which functions as a dominant inhibitor of Bcl-2. This MAb reacts with both Bcl-XS and Bcl-XL proteins.
