Description: Recombinant human histone H3.1 (HIST1H3A, accession number P68431) expressed in E. coli and purified by FPLC. Histone H3.1 is one of the four proteins that are present in the nucleosome, the basic repeating subunit of chromatin, consisting of 147 base pairs of DNA wrapped around an octamer of core histone proteins (two each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). Histone H3.1 is the primary histone H3 variant incorporated into chromatin during cell division and DNA replication.
Untagged
Stable for six months at -80°C from date of receipt. For best results, aliquot and avoid freeze/thaws.
Recombinant histone H3.1 is suitable for enzyme assays and nucleosome reconstitution. Reconstitute with distilled water prior to use.
