Description: XFD488 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor® 488 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher). The conjugates of streptavidin are commonly used together with a biotin conjugate for specific detection of a variety of proteins, protein motifs, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules in western blots, flow cytometry, imaging and microscopy, and microplate assays. XFD488-streptavidin conjugate is equivalent to Alexa Fluor® 488 streptavidin. The conjugate is comprised of a biotin-binding streptavidin covalently attached to XFD488.
