Description: Streptavidin conjugates are widely used together with a biotin conjugate for specific detection of a variety of biological molecules since streptavidin has a very high binding affinity for biotin and its conjugates. RPE-Cy5-streptavidin conjugate comprises streptavidin (as the biotin-binding protein) with RPE-Cy5 covalently attached (as the fluorescent label). It is used as a second step reagent for indirect immunofluorescent staining, when used in conjunction with biotinylated primary antibodies. It is a valuable tool for biotin-streptavidin-based biological assays and tests using flow cytometry with a Cy5® filter set. AAT Bioquest offers the largest selection of biotinylated and streptavidin conjugates and reagents. Some of them are not available from other commercial vendors.
