Description: MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Recognises a cell surface antigen of 40-42kD which is similar to the human cell surface antigen designated as CD32. It has therefore been hypothesized that may recognise a minor isoform of the ovine homologue of human CD32 (Hopkins, J. et. al. 1996). CD32 is one of a group of Fc receptors belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and involved in phagocytosis of opsonized microbes. CD32, also known as the Fc gamma RII, acts as a low affinity receptor for IgG. The antigen mediates several functions including endocytosis, activation of secretion, cytotoxicity and immunomodulation. Has been shown to recognise an antigen expressed by macrophages and monocytes but not by lymphocytes and shows strong staining of alveolar macrophages in Flow Cytometry (Not Tested).
