Description: Seems to specifically activate progelatinase A. May thus trigger invasion by tumor cells by activating progelatinase A on the tumor cell surface. May be involved in actin cytoskeleton reorganization by cleaving PTK7. Acts as a positive regulator of cell growth and migration via activation of MMP15. Involved in the formation of the fibrovascular tissues in association with pro-MMP2. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa112-582 from human MMP14, fused to His-SUMO-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~69.9kD AA Sequence: YAIQGLKWQHNEITFCIQNYTPKVGEYATYEAIRKAFRVWESATPLRFREVPYAYIREGHEKQADIMIFFAEGFHGDSTPFDGEGGFLAHAYFPGPNIGGDTHFDSAEPWTVRNEDLNGNDIFLVAVHELGHALGLEHSSDPSAIMAPFYQWMDTENFVLPDDDRRGIQQLYGGESGFPTKMPPQPRTTSRPSVPDKPKNPTYGPNICDGNFDTVAMLRGEMFVFKERWFWRVRNNQVMDGYPMPIGQFWRGLPASINTAYERKDGKFVFFKGDKHWVFDEASLEPGYPKHIKELGRGLPTDKIDAALFWMPNGKTYFFRGNKYYRFNEELRAVDSEYPKNIKVWEGIPESPRGSFMGSDEVFTYFYKGNKYWKFNNQKLKVEPGYPKSALRDWMGCPSGGRPDEGTEEETEVIIIEVDEEGGGAVSAAAVVLPVLLLLLVLAVGLAVFFFRRHGTPRRLLYCQRSLLDKV Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
