Short Description
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original human scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Application Notes
This antibody binds to the idiotype of trastuzumab, effectively mimicking HER2 epitopes. In a murine in vivo model, it elicited anti-HER2 antibodies, offering protection against HER2-positive SK-OV-3 tumor cells (Ladjemi et al., 2011; PMID: 21294885). Additionally, specialized trastuzumab-fused masked forms of this antibody-T-scFv40 + TEV, T-scFv40 + Factor Xa, and T-scFv40 + TEV + Factor Xa-were used to evaluate binding affinity to HER2 via flow cytometry and confocal microscopy (Orozco et al., 2022; PMID: 35799328).
