Application Notes
This antibody is the humanized version of original mouse antibody MAE11. This antibody binds to circulating IgE, thereby inhibiting IgE binding to mast-cells. It does not bind to cell-bound IgE and does not provoke histamine release from mast-cells sensitised by IgE. As a human IgG1, marketed as Xolair™, it is used therapeutically to treat asthma and allergies.
