Application Notes
This antibody binds RRV E2, and has been used to stain RRV-positive cells and in FC analysis of E2 surface expression (Jupille, 2013). This antibody has also been used to detect RRV binding to HeLa cells, demonstrating that synthetic peptides representing the α1β1 integrin binding site on collagen IV are able to inhibit RRV binding to cells, thus implicating the α1β1 integrin as an RRV cell-binding receptor (La Linn, 2005). This antibody can be used for the detection of Ross river virus E2 protein, O'nyong-nyong VLP (ONNV VLP) and Chikungunya VLP (CHIKV-VLP) in an ELISA.
