This monoclonal antibody can be used to detect biotinylated proteins and antibodies, particularly if signal amplification is desired. For instance, PE-conjugated BK-1/39 antibody was used to target biotinylated anti-Ig beta antibody in a flow cytometric analysis (Levit-Zerdoun et al., 2016). This antibody was also successfully utilised in the chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) of biotinylated sense or antisense strands of the saRNA duplex (Wu et al., 2016). BK-1/39 was used in in situ hybridisation as well; it detected biotinylated RNA probe complementary to the Epstein-Barr virus genome (de Lima et al., 2012).
This chimeric goat antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
