Application Notes

The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed in immunoblotting experiments (Strickland et al, 1990). This antibody has been used in Western blot analysis of HEK-293 cells transfected with human full-length LRP1 fused to EGFP, to confirm fusion protein expression (Laatsch et al, 2012). Additionally, this antibody has been used in Western blot analysis to measure LRP1 protein expression levels, both in human vascular smooth muscle cells (Costales et al, 2015; Sendra et al, 2008) and human monocyte-derived macrophages (Llorente-Cortes et al, 2007).

This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
