Application Notes
4A2 antibody has been widely used for identification and analysis of E cadherin. The original mouse IgG1 version was used to detect the intracellular domain of E cadherin in A431 or A431-E-cad-M cells (Nieman et al., 1999; pmid: 10212155). It was also demonstrated that this antibody can detect E cadherin on Western blots (Li et al., 2019; pmid: 31245295). Similarly, 4A2 antibody was also utilized to immunoprecipitate E cadherin from LNCaP and C4-2 cell extracts (Jaggi et al., 2005; pmid: 15695390).
