This antibody has been used for affinity chromatography with the protein A (Deluca et al, 1983, pmid:6347695). The antibody was shown to be effective in flow cytometry application (Deluca et al, 1983, pmid:6347695). It was demonstrated that this antibody can be utilized in the immunofluorescence staining of trout head kidney, spleen and thymus cells (Deluca et al, 1983, pmid:6347695). Furthermore, it has been shown that this antibody can be used in the immunoprecepitation of trout IgM (Deluca et al, 1983, pmid:6347695). It is used in western blots as a negative against catfish IgL σ (Edholm et al, 2010, pmid:20149930) and MHC class IIβ (Moulana et al, 2008, pmid:18676026). Finally, 1.14 antibody can be used to detect trout antibody in an ELISA (Costa et al, 2011, pmid: 21641928).
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
