Application Notes
This antibody successfully precipitates glycoprotein H from both HCMV infected cell lysates and HCMV-gH-VAC-infected cell lysates. Cellular localization of HCMV-gH studied by immunofluorescence on recombinant vaccinia virus and HCMV-infected cells using HCMV-16. HCMV-16 strongly neutralizes HCMV infectivity in vitro (PMID: 2831402). The reshaped humanized antibody recognized cells infected with a variety of virus strains and neutralized clinical isolates of CMV as efficiently as laboratory strains in a conventional plaque reduction assay (PMID: 9207350).
