Application Notes
This antibody is capable of neutralizing canine parvovirus and inhibit the hemagglutination of the homologous virus. This antibody can immunoprecipitate capsid protein (PMID: 6194613). Mab A3B10 is non-reactive on Western blots from gels of denatured CPV (PMID: 8259653). The mode of Fab binding suggests that the A3B10 neutralizing antibody cannot bind bivalently to the capsid across the two-fold axes (PMID: 7522904). The binding of A3B10 to intact capsid was tested using ELISA (PMID: 9770425). The scFv version of the antibody bound viral capsid with a 10-20 fold lower avidity as compared to the intact IgG (PMID: 10753725).
