Application Notes

This murine antibody reacted with granulocytes, colon mucosa and faintly with pancreatic ducts (PMID: 2410375). The radioactive isotope technetium-99m labelled version of this antibody is also called Besilesomab (trade name Scintimun). It has been studied widely for therapeutic applications. Technetium-99m-Labeled BW 250/183 was used to study the inflamatory process and identification of the inflamatory foci using immunoscintigraphy (PMID: 2157831, 1565572). This antibody is also used for scintiographic imaging of soft tissue infections, peripheral bone, and abdominal infections (PMID: 8023170). Tc-99m-labeled antibody has also been used in the localization of extramedullary hematopoiesis (PMID: 11953571). Rhenium-188-labelled BW250/183 was developed for adjuvant conditioning radioimmunotherapy of bone marrow before bone marrow transplantation. Immunoreactivity of the reduced and rhenium-incorporated antibody was determined by indirect immunofluorescence, by means of a whole blood staining method follwoed by flow ctometric analysis (PMID: 10541824). 90Y-label is reportedled antibody is reported to be used in the study of expression of CD66b in non-Hodgkin lymphomas and multiple myeloma usinf flow cytometry (PMID: 20887387).

Short Description

This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
