Application Notes
This antibody can be used for the identification of 3-pHis substrates and functional study of pHis. It was shown to detect various proteins containing 3-pHis, such as SCS and ACLY (Fuhs et al, 2015; pmid: 26140597). SC44-1 was also used for phosphoenrichment using immunoaffinity purification (Hunter et al., 2019). This clone was used to analyse the prevalence of 3-pHis in hepatocellular carcinoma by Western blot (Hindupur et al., 2018; pmid: 29562234). In the same study, SC44-1 was further utilized to demonstrate that LHPP is a protein histidine phosphatase (Hindupur et al., 2018; pmid: 29562234).
