The binding of this antibody to human CXCR4 was tested using ELISA. This antibody is capable of immunoprecipitating both CXCR4 monomers and dimers. I-3859 can also recognize CXCR4 present on NIH3T3-hCXCR4 transfected cells, MDA-MB-231,U937 promyelocytic cancer cells and Hela cervix cancer cells by flow cytometry. This antibody is also found to compete with other Anti-CXCR4 mAb 515H7 for binding to cell membrance as analyzed by flow cytometry. This antibody can be used for the immunohistochemical staining of tumor cells expressing CXCR4. It was used for the staining of RAMOS and KARPAS299 xenograft tumor cells (US20140170677).
This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
