Short Description

This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Application Notes

This antibody was used for immunoblotting PANC-1 cells mock-infected or infected with GLV-1h68 or GLV-1h99. This virus expresses the human norepinephrine transporter. This antibody was also used for immunofluorescence on PANC-1 cells mock-infected or infected with GLV-1h68 or GLV-1h99 (viruses that express the human norepinephrine transporter) (Chen et al., 2009; PMID: 19287510). This antibody was used for immunoblotting to assess the expression of the norepinephrine transporter. The samples used were entire cells and plasma membranes from Neuron-like human neuroblastoma SK-N-SH cells (Park et al., 2013; PMID: 23485735). This antibody was used in a Western blot assay to assess the expression of norepinephrine transporter protein in CPAE and SK-N-SH cells (Lee et al., 2005; pmid:16513613). Both a dot blot and immunohistochemistry were performed with this antibody on the green monkey kidney cell line COS-7, the human glioma cell line U373, and the human kidney cell line HEK293. This was done to assess the amount of human norepinephrine transporter expression in these lines (Buursma et al., 2005; PMID: 16330572).
