Application Notes
The specificity and affinity of this mouse version of this antibody was determined using equilibrium dialysis in dialysis cells fitted with a cellulose membrane of 3500 MW cutoff (Calvez et al, 1995; pmid:7898495). Further a radioimmunoassay was performed on I125-cortisol using the scFv version of this antibody (Calvez et al, 1995; pmid:7898495). The specificity of this antibody towards cortisol-3-CMO-BSA, cortisol, prednisolone and dexamethasone was also tested using equilibrium dialysis. ELISA was used to show that this clone was able to bind steroids conjugated to BSA through nonspecific hydrophobic interactions (PMID: 9820517).
