Application Notes
The original human IgG4 antibody was found to block binding of wild type Fel d 1 binding to IgE with a maximum blockade of 51% in a blocking ELISA. Surface plasmon resonance was used to identify the affinity of the antibody towards recombinant and wild type Fel d 1. Crystal structure of the Fab fragment antibody was studied using X-ray crystallography. This antibody in combination with REGN1908 was found to be promising in treatment of cat allergies. A single SC dose of REGN1908-1909 in patients with cat allergy resulted in rapid and clinically meaningful reduction in total nasal symptoms by blocking the early allergic response to nasal challenge with cat allergen (PMID: 29650949).
