Application Notes
The original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody binds horse cytochrome c with an affinity of Kd ~ 10(-9) M (PMID: 2993413). A solid phase radioimmunoassay was used to identify the specific epitope that the antibody binds (PMID: 2454225). The structural mechanism involved in the binding of the IgG1 antibody E8 to its highly charged protein antigen horse cytochrome c (cyt c) was studied using crystallographic structures (PMID: 9698550).
