Application Notes
This antibody was derived from the parent antibody called CM2, after PCR cloning the variable region genes of the hybridoma to generate a phage display library and isolating the specific clone that showed reactivity towards CMV. The binding specificity of this antibody for CMV was determined using ELISA. The scFv antibody was also able to identify CMV coat protein in a western blot assay (Koohapitagtam et al., 2009).
