This antibody is recommended for detected of thiacloprid and other neonicotinoid pesticides. The binding characterization of this antibody to thiacloprid was done using ELISA. The recombinant antibody showed a binding profile similar to that of the original parental antibody. The reactivity of this antibody to other neonicotinoid pesticides was also determined using surface plasmon resonance. It was observed that thiacloprid and imidaclothiz displayed high binding responses, while imidacloprid, acetamiprid, and clothianidin showed medium binding responses. No significant binding was found toward dinotefuran, nitenpyram, and thiamethoxam, similar to the negative controls of two organophosphorus pesticides. (PMID: 32962080).
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
