Application Notes
The specificity of the scFv format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody detected the recombinant E protein by western blot analysis. The scFv format recognized the E protein in a transfected Vero cell by flow cytometry. Competitive inhibition assay was employed to calculate the percentage of inhibition and the dissociation constant of the antibody against the E protein (inhibition of 50% = 0.55 ug/mL and Kd= 2.04 *10^-8 M). Therefore, the antibody has diagnostic or therapeutic potential for ZIKV (PMID: 31940993).
