Short Description
This reformatted human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human Fab format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Application Notes
The specificity of the original format of the antibody for SAR-55 ORF2 protein and swine HEV was confirmed by ELISA analysis (Kd= 0.8 and 1.3 nM respectively). The antibody recognized reduced, denatured HEV ORF2 protein by Western Blot. The antibody strongly precipitated the construct corresponding to aa112-607 of the ORF2 protein by radioimmunoprecipitation. The binding affinity of the antibody to SAR-55 ORF2 protein was measured by surface plasmon resonance (Kd= 4.5 nM). The original antibody was able to neutralize the SAR-55 strain of HEV, as determined by intravenous challenge of rhesus monkeys (US7148323B2).
