Application Notes
This antibody was able to neutralize the biological activity of both TGF-beta 1 and beta 2 in vitro. This antibody could detect the dimeric form of TGF-beta 2 in western blots. This antibody was also reported to immunoprecipitate [125I]-TGF-beta 2 (PMID: 2537357). This antibody is also able to neutralize the growth promoting actions of TGF-B1 and B2 in the NRK proliferation assay and TGF-B induced alkaline phosphatase production in an assay using the ROS 17.2.8 osteosarcoma cell line (US5571714). This antibody was used for detection of TGF-β production in vivo in spleens sections of L. donovani-infected hamsters using immunohistochemistry (PMID: 9488418). This antibody was also used for the immunohistochemical analysis of FFPE human renal biopsy specimens for presence of TGF-beta (PMID: 10515378).
