Application Notes
The binding affinity of the original format of the antibody to CHIKV VLPs was measured by surface plasmon resonance (Kd= 9.3 nM). The original antibody demonstrated high reactivity with E2/E1 presented on cells, as shown by flow cytometry. The original format of the antibody was tested in a cellular neutralization assay against CHIKVL, where showed an average IC50 of 170 ng/ml. The original antibody was tested for antiviral activity using native replication-competent CHIKV viruses. In a plaque reduction neutralization test assay, the antibody could neutralize CHIKV strain 37997 with a PRNT50 value of 81 ng/ml (US9902765B2).
