Application Notes
The original version of this antibody (IgG2a) was raised and tested against CPA, FPV, and MEV and was found to inhibit and neutralize CPV-a and -b in neutralization and HI assays (Parrish et al., 1982; PMID: 6180709). The original version of this antibody was used in RIA and HI assays. In the HI test, it was found to inhibit CPV-a;-b;-c-;-d; and -e, and in the RIA, it was found to react with CPV-d variants 6, 12, and 8 (Parrish and Carmichael, 1983; PMID: 6194613). The Fab version of this antibody was used in a cryoEM analysis of capsid:Fab complexes, and its Kd was measured via ELISA as 3.4 x 10-9 M (Nelson et al., 2007; PMID: 17217977). The Fab version of this antibody was crystallized, and its structure was determined (Hafenstein et al., 2009; PMID: 19321620).
