Application Notes
The original antibody was used for a neutralization assay on poliovirions. Further this antibody was used for an attachment assay on HeLa cells and poliovirions (Wien et al., 1995; PMID:75397110). This antibody showed specificity for the VP1 protein of the type 1 poliovirus in immunoprecipitation of VP1, VP2 and VP3 of the type 1 poliovirus (Blondel et al., 1983; PMID:6190311, Van der Werf et al., 1983; PMID:6308670).
