Application Notes
The original antibody was used for a dot blot on different bacteria lysates. This antibody was used for a radioimmunoassay on live bacteria, this antibody bound to surface-exposed epitopes on B. pertussis strains 9340 and Tohama 1, but not other strains. The biological activity of this antibody against B. pertussis and B. bronchiseptica was assessed. It showed a high degree of killing on B. pertussis strain 9340. This antibody was used for an ELISA on B. pertussis OMP preparations (Brodeur et al., 1991; PMID:1721552).
