Short Description
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Application Notes
The specificity of the original version of this antibody (mouse IgG2a) was validated via ELISA, IF, RIPA, and WB. In in vitro plaque reduction assays, this antibody achieved 80% plaque reduction at a concentration as low as 6.25 µg/ml. In in vivo experiments with mice and guinea pigs, 6D8 demonstrated protective effects when administered before or shortly after viral exposure (Wilson et al., 2000; PMID: 10698744) (US6875433B2).
