Short Description

This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Application Notes

This antibody was used for an ELISA on Factor VIII, it showed binding. This antibody showed partial inhibition of Factor VIII in a Bethesda assay, with 97% inhibition at 100 ug/mL. This antibody was tested on human and mice plasma for its ability to inhibit Factor VIII, it showed it was able to inhibit 80% of Factor VIII in human plasma but showed no inhibition for mouse Factor VIII. It did partially inhibit Factor VIII when recombinant human Factor VIII was added to plasma of Factor VIII deficient mice. This antibody was tested in vivo on Factor VIII deficient mice, a part of these mice were injected with both Factor VIII and this antibody, and it showed that Factor VIII was only partially inhibited (US8784816B2).
