Short Description
This chimeric rat antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Application Notes
The original antibody was used for an ELISA on rat HMGB1. The ability of this antibody to inhibit TNF release was determined, it showed it was able to inhibit TNF release. This antibody was used in a sepsis mouse model (caused by perforating a surgically-created cecal diverticulum), it was shown that administering this antibody to these mice increased survival with 10 ug being the optimal dose (US8846047B2).
