Description

Description: Myc-tag is a polypeptide protein tag, EQKLISEEDL, derived from the c-myc gene product. It is widely fused to proteins, either in the C-terminus or the N-terminus. It can be used for affinity chromatography to separate recombinant, overexpressed protein from wild type protein expressed by the host organism, and to isolate protein complexes with multiple subunits. A myc-tag can be used in various immunoassays to monitor proteins without antibodies against them. Myc-Tag Mouse mAb (Agarose Conjugated) is a monoclonal Myc antibody covalently linked to agarose; the agarose enables immunoprecipitation (IP) of Myc tagged proteins or co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) of their interacting partners.
