Description: The CD30 ligand is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein of the tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily. CD30L is expressed on the cell surface of activated T cells, B cells, and monocytes. Recombinant CD30L has been shown to co-stimulate T cells and to act as a mitogen for Hodgkin's disease derived cell lines. The receptor for CD30L, CD30/ TNFRSF8/CD153, is a type I cytokine receptor that is highly expressed by activated T cells, Hodgkin and Reed- Sternberg (H-RS) cells, and anaplastic large cell lymphoma cells. CD30 ligation by CD30L mediates pleiotropic effects including cell proliferation, activation, differentiation and cell death by apoptosis.

The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.
