Description

Description: The human CCR8 chemokine receptor is a member of the rhodopsin superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors that span the cell membrane with seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains. CCR8, also known as TER1, ChemR1, and CKR-L1, is the receptor for the chemokine CCL1 (I-309). Three virally encoded ligands, vMIP-I, vMIP-II and vMCC-I, can also interact with the CCR8 receptor.3 CCR8 expression has been reported on peripheral blood monocytes, thymocytes and on Th2 polarized T cells.
