Description

Description: Hyaluronate lyase 8A (SpHys8A), assigned the E.C. number 4.2.2.1, is a derivative of Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is an enzyme that cleaves hyaluronate chains at a β-D-GlcNAc-1,4-β-D-GlcA bond, ultimately breaking the polysaccharide down to 3-(4-deoxy-β-D-gluc-4-enuronosyl)-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. The recombinant SpHys8A, purified from Escherichia coli, is a single-domain Pectate Lyase family 8 (PL8) enzyme (see more details at www.cazy.org).The protein is supplied in a solution containing 35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM Imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a concentration of 1 mg/mL.
