It is a deadly virus which causes disease in humans, spread from bodily fluids ofinfected animals such as chimpanzees, gorillas, fruit bats, monkeys, forest antelope and porcupines in areas such as rainforests. The Ebola virus can also spread from human to human. There is no known cure and is mainly found in tropical Central and West Africa, and can have a 90 per cent mortality rate (more recently that is about 60%).
