Description

Description: MaxLight™ 650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. GAL4 protein is a transcriptional activator that is required for the expression of genes that encode enzymes of galactose utilization. The N-terminal domain of GAL4 binds to specific DNA sequences and the C-terminal domain contains acidic regions, which are required for activating transcription. GAL4 has been useful in two-hybrid assays for the study of protein-protein interactions.

Specificity

Recognizes GAL4. Specific for the DNA binding domain of the S. cerevisiae GAL4 protein. The immunoreactive epitope maps within aa1-92 of GAL4. Suitable for the detection of both N-terminal and C-terminal tagged GAL4 (1-147) and GAL4 (1-92) fusion proteins.
