Whole cell extract (30 µg) was separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with MED8 antibody (GTX108837) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.

MED8 antibody detects MED8 protein at nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: NT2D1 cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: MED8 protein stained by MED8 antibody (GTX108837) diluted at 1:1000. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

Description: This gene encodes a protein that is one of more than 20 subunits of the mediator complex, first identified in S. cerevisiae, that is required for activation of transcription. The product of this gene also interacts with elongins B and C, and CUL2 and RBX1, to reconstitute a ubiquitin ligase. Two alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described.
