Description

Description: This gene encodes an integrin beta chain, which combines with multiple different alpha chains to form different integrin heterodimers. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins that participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling. The encoded protein plays an important role in immune response and defects in this gene cause leukocyte adhesion deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Application Notes

FACS: Use 1µg for 10^6 cells. IHC-acetone fixed frozen tissue sections: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. The antibody precipitates a (Mr 150/90 kDa) heterodimer from mouse leukocytes. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Storage Note

Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
