beta-Lactoglobulin antibody was generated against the bovine beta-lactoglobulin protein, the primary whey component in ruminant milk. beta-Lactoglobulin is typically used as an internal reference standard for quantification of human plasma protein in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and mass spectrometric immunoassays.
Storage Note
Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
