Description: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a potent T-cell mitogenic cytokine1 that functions as a primary regulator of T cell homeostasis and has been considered a prime candidate immunotherapeutics, both for increasing T cell levels/function and for augmenting vaccine-elicited viral-specific T cell responses.2 IL-2 plays a key role in setting the balance between immunity and tolerance. This cytokine has a dual role as the regulator of the two main phases of the immune response (proliferative and suppressive).3 IL-2 also stimulates growth and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, LAK cells, monocytes, and oligodendrocytes.
Monoclonal
This lyophilized monoclonal antibody should be stored desiccated at -20 to -70⁰C. After reconstitution, this monoclonal antibody can be stored at 2-8⁰C for one month. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20 to -70⁰C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
